CHILDLINE is a project for the children in difficult situation providing 24 hours service. SMS has been working as a collaborative organization in the District.
Objective:
Rescue from different situation
Restore/rehabilitate and provide medical support
Render emotional support, education
Facilitate access to child right.
CHILDLINE is a help line to serve the children between the ages of 0-18 yrs in distress through dialing a toll free number 1098 from all telephone booths of the districts where CHILDLINE is operating. Anybody can seek help from in regard to any distressed child.
Through this service, care and protection is extended to the anguished child.
An efficient linkage is established and maintained with all the allied systems, local police stations, hospital, Director of Social Welfare office, different homes, District magistrate and other NGOs community for prompt and apt help to rescue and rehabilitate the distressed children.
National Initiative for Child Protection (NICP) workshop further helped SMS to reach its goal efficiently. NICP under the guidance of CIF (CHILDLINE India Foundation) works towards integrating and strengthening the allied system and better collaboration among the partners ensuring improved understanding of child rights.

CHILDLINE has network programs in 83 districts in India and CHILDLINE India Foundation (CIF) is the nodal body. In the district/city with efficient nodal collaboration support and allied system of network, of which SMS (being a Collab Organisation) is an active part, the effort leads to triumphant execution.
SMS maintains a Short Stay Home for the child in distress until she/he is rehabilitated or restored properly. She monitors the well being of the child still after rehabilitation until her/his safety is ensured. Apart from it SMS provides medical, educational & emotional support to the children. The malnourished Children are given nutritious food, their mothers are trained on nutrition in demo camp and children’s growth is regularly monitored.
