For conservation of environment and raising awareness for it SMS has taken up many programs over the years. It has organized various awareness camps in different places of Nadia and North 24 parganas. Santosha, Sindrani, Barbaria,Duttapulia, Matikumra, Srirampore, Nawpara and Shilberia to sensitize conservation of environment. It also maintains its own nursery /green house rearing up hundreds of saplings.
SMS has also taken measures to stop indiscriminate poaching of water birds from water bodies close to the Bangladesh border with the help of BSF jawans. Its wing Tarunima Sab Peyechir Asar played active role in the effort.

Observing the EARTH HOUR on 28th march is another instance of awareness that SMS vows to generate to combat global warming, when it like many millions on earth puts the lights off for one hour (8.30pm-9.30pm).

It takes all initiatives to rehabilitate the distressed/destitute and meanwhile provide shelter in its temporary home. In collaboration with different home and administrative officials of the district it has actively taken part in mainstreaming many lives through rehabilitation & vocational trainings.
